I did ours a few months ago, no problems undoing the bolts w/hand tools and no problems R&Ring the shaft from the truck. and as redman 1812 said no need to do anything w/the exhaust pipe.

I have to replace my CV joint on the driveshaft. Does anyone have the correct sizes for the bolts so I can make sure I have everything before I start it.

Hopefully you are replacing the whole axle shaft. Trying to replace just the CV joint is an exercise in futility. The only bolts are those holding hub onto the spindle, you can re-use those.

Oh I'm doing the drive shaft not the axle. But I'd it really that difficult to replace the CV joint? I'll probably end up taking this one out now and ordering the new one then. I guess it would be easier.

You talking about the CV joint inside the transfer case for the fron axle then? My bad. Thnought you meant the front axle half shafts.
