Line Out Converter install questions for amp
Hi All,
2006 Dakota Quad cab.
I can see similar questions asked here but not touching on what i'm wondering. So I want to add an amp/one sub to my factory head unit. Most suggest taking the radio and tapping the connections there or using a rear speaker connection. I believe there is a factory amp.
I'm wondering if I tap it in the rear if that would cause a problem with the factory amp? Like added distortion instead of going right from the back of the radio. Seems these speakers already have an amp to them so is it wise to tap the line out converter to it?
Figured it's a shorter run, and I like the idea of running shorter RCA cords. I will probably run a line from the battery for my remote to a switch. I kinda like the option of turning just the amp off.
TIA!

If you'd be interested, I'm pretty sure I still have the one that I bought a while back for my initial stereo set up, before I got an aftermarket head unit, and I might be willing to sell it to ya... just a thought.
