Default 2007 Dakota 4wd starting issue

Started out that the battery was bad. Then occasionally it just wouldn't start. No click or anything. Replaced the relay and the starter same problem. Then pulled the ignition switch which had lots of play so replaced it. Same problem. Pulled the fuse box off and all the connectors around it. Found no corrosion but did add electric grease. Pulled the grounds and all looked great. Weird thing is when I put it all back together the power windows wouldn't work. Eventually they just started working again. Does the body control module control the starting circuit?? I know they had issues in 05 with the computers needing "reflashed" due to rolling locks and other stuff occasionally not working at times. Any help would be appreciated. Has the v-6 and around 90,000 miles.

Maybe your new battery is NG.

Take a close look at the battery cables. Sometimes a little chaffing wears the insulation and it corrodes. Power windows draw a good bit of amps just like the starter.

had an issue here with corrosion, had to replace the positive power cable from battery to fuse box to starter, and I noticed lights got a little brighter

Replaced both cables and didn't resolve it. Ended up replacing the entire fuse box unit. Something under where the starter relay made connections wasn't making good contact. I could hold it down physically and truck would start everytime. Weird and thanks for the suggestions guys
