2007 Dakota, 4.7 L flex fuel
I need help with two problems on my 2007 Dakota, 4.7 L flex fuel.
1. Check engine code keeps giving a cam shaft position sensor error. I've changed the cam shaft position sensor (and the crank shaft position sensor), still get the error. Any time I accelerate past 2300 rpms, or so, the truck bucks hard and refuses to accelerate more.
2. When I try to start the truck, it cranks for 5 seconds or so, then starts and runs fine (except for problem above). I'm getting 60 psi on the fuel rail when the truck is running, and pressure stays above 50 psi after the truck stops, so I'm doubting that it's a fuel pump problem. I've also checked the starter/solenoid (they're O.K.), checked the battery, fuses, and relays. And, alternator. Everything checks out. Help.

for issue number 1, did you use OEM sensors or aftermarket? based on history on the forums, the aftermarket ones fail often or just do not work correctly. Always go with OEM sensors for the CAM and Crank shaft sensors.
