I changed my axle fluid today. I've got a limited slip 3.92. I was looking at my book while waiting for the old gear oil to drain and saw that it recommends doing this every 15,000 miles. That seems like a lot! Do you guys do this? Some new cars have that same interval for motor oil.

 

This is what I used.

 

transaxle service I believe is every 30000 miles but depends on the driving conditions, whether you tow a lot or simply 4 wheel often

 

I just did mine too. Almost 100k miles since the last change. I suspect most owners never change the fluid over the entire life of the axle.
