Default Longer shocks

Hey everyone I've been browsing the site for a while now looking for info on ways to lift my truck. I have a 08 4.7 4x4 crew cab. I've decided to just start with 2" leveling kit 2" blocks in the rear and a 265/75/16 AT or MT tire. I also plan on replacing shocks and struts with the ranchoos rs5000 from supreme suspensions, but I noticed in the decription it says 0" of lift my question is do I need longer shocks for the rear of will these be ok? If longer shocks are needed any suggestions on sites to get them from? Also is a spring compressor needed to lvl the truck or change the struts? Thanks for any help given

You will be fine. I had a 2" leveling kit in front and 1.5" helper springs in the back. Used the same shocks. No issues.

Hey everyone. I have an 05 4.7L 4x4 crew cab. And was wondering pretty much the same question as dakotabill. Im going to be putting 1.5" blocks in the rear and was wondering if I needed to put longer shocks in the rear as well or if the stock shock dimensions would be ok. And if so what kind of shocks are reccomended. And if not what kind of shocks are good OE replacements. I was looking at the Monroe load adjusting shocks.

Same answer. No you don't need longer shocks. Monroe are a step above OEM, Rancho are a step above that, in terms of stiffness.

Thank You jkeaton. I figured it would be the same answer, but i dont quite understand exactly what blocks will do other than raise the rear end. And thank you for the input on the shocks as well.

That's all blocks will do. Raise the rear.
