Default Broken leaf spring.

Pulled the rear tire off to look at the brakes and bam I see this. How dangerous is this? I've got about a week before a new one arrives.

Reach in there and pull it out. It's not too dangerous in and of itself, but if that thing swings around and cuts a tire down it's a different story.

keep in mind that your capacity and the spring rate on that side will be less until you replace the spring. so be careful if you drive the truck and load up with anything
