Default Shaking while braking

Hey guys...It's been awhile, but the shaking/vibration is back. I recently felt the vibrating and pulsing return. Replaced the rotors and pads again and problem was solved. Was still feeling something in the front. When I took it to have the tires balanced my tire guy said outer tie rod on drivers side had play.
Had them replaced before and garage said it is under warranty, but will have to charge me labor and alignment. Scheduled for Tues.
The only time I notice it is braking at higher speeds. Could tie rod be the cause? Also would like opinion on ceramic vs semi-metallic pads. Currently running semi. Thinking of switching to ceramic and a higher carbon steel rotors.
Any opinion would be helpful

I have the ceramic pads on my truck now for 3 years and really like them. Good stopping and wear no ugly black brake dust.

The Alignment (Toe set) should be included in labor of replaceing Tie Rod.
A caster/camber adjustment however would not be included.

Default Update

Had the tie rod replaced and that was definitely the issue. Down side was $115 charge.
Still thinking about changing to ceramic pads and the better rotor, due to the history of front brake issues I have had with my truck.
Have only heard one opinion on which is better: ceramic or semi-metallic pads

I'm running ceramics all around.

Getting a slight vibe now with high speed braking. Not really that noticeable yet, but it didn't happen till I moved to ceramics, and these rotors are two year old Wagners. My point is, ceramics run hotter and may warp rotors more, but they sure do last long and less dust. The rotors are lifetime warranty so if it get's worse, I'll replace them.

Just gonna throw this out there when you change your rotors make sure to wipe them down first. If anything is on them like oil or dirt it will cause uneven wear. Then warping.
