Default Body lift questions

Hey everyone. I just picked up a 2007 dakota quad cab SLT 4x4 manual shift. I have never lifted a truck before and have some questions about it. I was thinking about just doing a body lift hoping it wouldn't be super difficult/expensive. But after looking into it and not finding any definitive info im hoping some of you could help. If i do lift it will i have to drop the front diff? And will i have to do something with my gear shifter?

Body lift just lifts the body. No need to do anything with the suspension. You will need an extension for the gear shift lever.

Ok. I had seen how to videos on other trucks that required a diff drop even with just a body lift, but nothing on a 3rd gen dakota. So i was unsure. Thanks!
