Hey there. I have a 4.7 mag with 2.5 inch OD exhaust. Previous owner decided to cut off the tail pipe leaving the res and a small 45 off the side. I have a bunch of 2 in SS pipe. Do you guys think i would be able to simply use a reducer and form the 2 inch into the shape i need? Or would the difference create too much back pressure?

Yes, it will increase back pressure , and also restrict the exhaust, which is not helpful at all.

 

Stay with 2.5" if possible.

An idea would be do a split to two pipes. Dual exhaust would look nice and at that point you can use dual 2in if you like.
