I have been running the napa 180 stat for about 10 years now, no issues in the hottest of summer and still has plenty of heat in the winter, these motors don't ever like to run hot

Running stock 195 thermostat on my 05 4.7 and never moves from the midline except when climbing a long grade at 70 mph and even then it only moves 1mm or so.

Edit: Sorry that is the Town and Country minivan!

Truck runs a couple mm below the midline and only rarely hits the midline when climbing a long grade over 70 mph.
