2007 4X4 Laramie remote start wont work

Factory remote start will not work. When I press the remote starter button, it locks the doors. Any help is greatly appreciated!

if any dtc are set the remote start will be disabled...check for codes if the mil is on.

I am sorry I do not know what DTC and MIL are. Please explain what they are and how to do so.

OK, the check engine light is not on, or any other trouble indicators.

You may still have a stored error code. Go to a local auto store, many will check for codes with their OBDII scanner. Or get a

OBDII scanner

for yourself, these days everyone should have one, and can be found pretty cheap.

Check your owners manual for conditions which would disable the remote start.
