Default 2005 Dodge Dakota Acceleration Issues

I have a 05 Dakota and not too long ago is started having trouble accelerating every once in a while. It started getting a lot worse when I started a delivery job and I was doing a lot of stop and go driving. There were times when I could not drive forward, but then I would go in reverse for a little bit then I would be able to drive forward. Just today I heard a loud sort or grinding and it was like my truck hit a wall and it completely stopped moving. Now I can't go over 35mph with going over 3000rpm and the 4LO light won't stop blinking, Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Could be 4wd actuator motor going bad and partially engaging

drive in reverse and get that thing out of 4 wheel. pull the transfer case fuse before your transfer case explodes, time to replace the transfer case switch .the fuse is a 30amp near the back of fuse box under hood, should be a green fuse.

Is this endemic to the full-time NV244HD transfer case only?Or can it occur in the part-time NV233 transfer cases as well?

that I'm not to sure of, but the part time ones explode a lot if your doing 70 on the highway and it decides to kit into 4lo

It is very frustrating that Dodge ignores this ongoing issue. I have had the fuse out of mine for three years, and still no definitive answer from Dodge.
