Default No crank No start

I have taken my truck to a small shop and they can’t get my truck to start with the key. They could start it by jumping wires in the fuse box under the hood. So they purchased a new key with no luck. No check engine lights/codes. I’m thinking maybe a neutral safety switch? Thoughts???

Sounds plausible.

It has probably thrown an anti-theft code in the PCM and will not allow it to start. I had installed an aftermarket remote starter which caused my problem and threw a mismatched VIN error code. The stealership wanted me to buy a new PCM at $1600 and said they couldn't clear the code. I ended up taking it out and shipping it to a car computer place and they were able to fix it. There are several out there which cost less than 150 to reprogram or you could try to buy a remanufactured one around 200-250 and see if it works.
