Default Rear differential?

I ve looked here & googled this with no luck. My Dakota, 2010 st 4x4, clunkes occasionally when I stop or take off. It all stopped suddenly from 1 to 2 mph. Couple times when trying to take off it wouldn’t move until I hit the gas pedal. I’ve got it to do it from neutral. Took rear drums off brakes seem fine. Drive shaft and universal joints feel solid, at least while it’s on the ground. According to FCD my truck was made just after their recall issues. Literally the month. 12-09. When the recall trucks ended. Any mechanic s or someone else who has been through this have any insight? Axle bearing? Rear differential?

Could be that the driveshaft slip yoke joint has dried up, causing it to bind/"pop" as the rear suspension flexes at a start/stop. I had that problem, and did a write-up for it:

**Attention anyone experiencing a "bump" or "jolt" just before or after a stop**
