Dim radio time and other info

2006 Dakota SLT Night Runner, 2wd, club cab, RAF radio.
Tried the dimmer switch -no solution. Any ideas?

The cost of a used or refurbished factory radio is absurd for what they are. Time to look into an aftermarket upgrade that does so much more for 1/3rd the price imho.
