Default 07 sway bar end link problem

Hello everyone, new to dodge as I inherited my stepdads 07 Dakota 4x4 4dr. I'm in the process of trying to replace the sway bar end links and was wondering if there is an easy way to get the lower nut off? I've watched videos on the Ram replacement but these are different in the fact that they have no slot for a wrench to hold it while you turn the nut off. I can use a pair of vise grips to get them off I suppose but putting the new ones on isn't an option as it will destroy the boot. I attached a pic of the new one. I've tried using a socket on the end of the shaft but do to the pocket it sits in there is no room to get a wrench on the nut to turn it. Hopefully this isn't one of those SPECIAL tools required by the dealer to remove.
If there's a discussion for this topic I do apologize.

Well mine with the one broken link is very dangerous to drive, every bump you hit send the front end to one side or the other and doing 75mph on the highway is scary. I personally don't know why you would want to remove it anyway without it the truck bounces horrendously on dirt roads. If you drive only on pavement with perfect roads it may be fine, I live in Montana and pretty much live in the hills and couldn't drive without it.

It will take a wrench on the nut and another on the hex shaft protruding. A pair of vice grips on the hex shaft work too. If you think you need a socket and a power tools, a wrench on the nut and a socket on the hex will get you done!

Thank you NorthGator. Turns out after some messing around that tightening didn't require anything more than a 18mm socket. Apparently the inside of the pivoting end is made so that it pivots but also doesn't turn. Now just wondering how tight to tighten the top bushings? Some say to tighten until the bushings flatten out to just the diameter of the cupped washers while others say that's to tight. Any thoughts?

Thanks
