1st one is after installing a more free flowing exhaust and a k&n type cold air intake, does the negative battery terminal need to be disconnected for the computer to recognize the changes to get the most benefit and if so how long? I read somewhere in these posts to disconnect it for 30 sec and turn the ignition switch to on for another 30 sec then take the key out and re connect the negative battery cable. What is right or does it not matter? 2nd question is Ive looked for a "for sale used parts/or used performance parts" section but cant find one. Remember Im new and not computer savvy and I already know Im a idiot so try to hold back some on the negative comments...Im just looking for help and have no one local to help/hang out with me BTW its a basic standard 2006 3.7 auto dakota

 

You don’t need to disconnect the battery for those “enhancements”. It won’t hurt anything if you do. 15 minutes is normally sufficient. The classifieds section is where you go to look for things. Towards the bottom of the main forum page. You’re not going to find much there though. eBay is a better bet.
