Default 2008 SLT tire replacement question

My Son is wanting to replace his stock tires 245/70R16 with 255/70R16 on his 08 quad SLT 2 wheel drive. Will these even work and what will it affect, if anything?

Thanks
Kim

Go with 265/70/16, which was a stock sized option on all Dakotas, which you'll see in the linked thread above. That size looks perfect on stock suspension, and no worries about rubbing, providing you are still using stock wheels, or the same offset with aftermarket wheels. The speedometer will be off a bit, it will read a hair slower with the 265s, which is absolutely nothing to worry about.

Welcome aboard.
