Default Touch Screen Radio

2006 Dodge Dakota SLT 4.7 V8
I was wondering what is the best touchscreen radio for the truck. Which ones match up really well and look good. Also which ones are pretty easy to install. Old radio is slowly going out and I want to upgrade. Look ing the range of $150-$300
Thanks

Lmao. You can also go to crutchfield.com and look at the reviews on various systems out there, crutchfield will set you up with all the accessories like wiring harnesses and such so you don’t have to hack the wiring. Honestly with the shear number of head units available these days, it come down to personal choice as far as the look and what all features you want.

How much modification do you want to do?
If the 2006 is the same as the 05, which it probably is, the opening is an odd 1.5 din with the ears on the sides. You can make a double din fit with some work. I found an oversized single din that installed without much modding. As stated before, crutchfield will tell you the wiring adapter you need.

In my opinion, the best looking radios are the ones that look like they belong there. The ones that do that the best are the OEM radios. However, none of them - even used or refurbished - will fit within your price range.

If you are interested in looking at them, the 430, the 430N and either version of the 730N will fit. All three keep your satellite radio capability and provide a HDD for storing music. The "N" variants include some sort of navigation ability. All are also UConnect-capable to varying degrees. None have any sort of CarPlay or anything like that.

I did find a single DIN android powered unit that has a 7 inch touchscreen that attaches externally. So far for right around $200 I can't really complain.
