Intermitent Shutdown 2007 Dakota
Shutdown occurring on V-6 engine 2007 Dakota 2 wheel Drive. No problems for last two years but then shutdown while driving. Technicians have spent days looking for electrical issue but have not found one. 2 amp fuse was bad but after replacement still shuts down and will not restart. Have removed and cleaned all wiring connectors and no trouble codes appear on computer. Planning to replace ignition switch and other suggested parts if anyone can assist on possible problems.

2007 Dakota Intermittent Shutdown solved. Sequentially Replaced and tested Ignition switch, Computer, Cam Sensor, Crank Sensor, relays in TIPM no change in problem. Could not get new TIPM, so ordered from junk yard. Replaced it and problem resolved. No failure codes were ever indicated. Hope others do not have similar problem but apparently TIPMs are source of many intermittent problems on these trucks/cars.
