Skid plate
Forgot to mention, if you have factory skid plates and you install the differential drop you have to modify it or it will point downward. I had to cut the ribs on top of the plate in order to bend it up. Also the front two mounting holes have to be elongated forward. Not the perfect situation but it works to maintain the skid plate.
Okay...makes sense. I didn't realize that lifting the truck required dropping the differential. Mine is still stock.
Curious...if you lift the truck to put on larger tires, it gives a little more ground clearance. If you have to drop the differential, you lose some ground clearance. Is the gain from the larger tires enough to offset the loss from dropping the differential?
