Default Front Bumper

Anyone ever tried to fit an '08 front bumper on a '05-'07 dodge dakota ...

Was wondering what that would look like. I kinda like the angles on the 08 with the round fog lights. I was fitting my front bumper and was having trouble trying to get all the pieces to line up. seems my bumper reinforcement had a ripple on the top edge causing the bumper cover to sag. So either I beat that out with a BFH of buy a new /used and if I'm going to be in the market for new / used I might wanna buy the '08

Flame away!

Completely different. You'd at least need the 08 grill and headlights, possibly fenders and hood.

You'd need to replace:
  • Hood
  • Fenders
  • Headlights,
  • Front bumper fascia
  • Grill
  • Most likely, front bumper support
And I.m sure a few more parts.

TBH all dodge did for styling the '08 was increase the hood length, fenders and grille, more or less squaring the nose of the truck. Everything else remained the same, fender wells and structural components (aside from the grille support bracket). So my point would be the grille would still land in the same place. All I really see that's different is the '08 bumper cover has extra molding lip from headlight to fender well ... and I have tools for that ... lol

To be clear, I'm merely suggesting the Idea. I no way would I change the look of my front end from a '06 to an '08. I personal think dodge got it right with the styling between '05-'07

Right....so you would still need all those parts to make the bumper fit
