Default 06 Dakota Driver Side Airbag Light On

2006 Dodge Dakota Airbag Light is Always On

The airbag light is always on. Airbag recall has been done, checked the wiring under the seat and it looks good. Not the clock spring in the steering column, replaced that part and no change.

Any help on how to fix the problem would be great.

I'm assuming that after the airbag inflator recalls were done, there were no airbag lights.
How old is your battery? A weak battery could cause the airbag light.
The only way to see what is causing the light, is to read the SRS code(s) with an advanced code reader.

Welcome aboard.

Advanced code reader? I have one of these: https://www.xtremediesel.com/actron-...scanner-cp9175

Is this enough or do I need a different code reader or trip to the dealer?

Battery is old and connectors need to be replaced. I have a new battery and connector that will be installed.

Your code reader does not read SRS codes, the code reader linked below is able to read and clear them.
<b>Innova 3100j</b> Innova 3100j

But any mechanic should be able to read the SRS code, thankfully, you don't need to go to the dealer.
But first, install the new battery and connector, and see if that helps.

Put in a new battery and connectors and the airbag light is still on. Trying to find a place to read the SRS codes who will not charge an arm and a leg.
