Hello I have a Dakota 6 speed with a regular 4.7 around 220 ponies. I read the 2008 ram 4.7 has 320 ponies. Can you drop this in and will it work with my tranny and front and rear diffs I have a 4x4. Or is the 1500 ram trans stronger because of the weight difference ofthe to trucks. Also when using a different engine must you use the ecm from that motor.
that you

This truck was so popular I’m surprised there’s no hemi kit. Like gm does with Las conversions. Ima new boot so I might sound silly. If there’s a kit can you supply me with a link.
thankyou

That 4.7l ho also came in 2008 dakotas. It can be swapped in but you will need the full wiring harness cpu everything. The changed alot in 07 would be cheaper to buy a 08+ with the 4.7l ho and put your 6 speed in it.

Edit also your 4.7l shoudl make more than 220hp. My 3.7l makes 230somthing in its stock form
