Default Loud grinding noise in front only when turning

Loud grinding noise in the front end but only when turning. When driving straight it's perfectly fine, doesn't slow down any quicker and isn't harder to take off. If I'm going around a slight bend there's no noise but a hard left or right turn and it makes it. Almost sounds like years grinding or a tire rubbing but they aren't.

sounds like a wheel bearing tbh. Tell tale is turning that you notice it most. They begin to degrade like that at first but left unchecked it will progress. also might be the lower CV shaft but those are pretty much indestructible. You would really have to get it up on jacks and play with the different components. anyway good luck and let us know what the problem was .... cheers

Thumbs up

Had similar issue. I know it sounds off but you can save yourself guess work and replacing front end items by first have the rear differential checked. The truck can rack on a turn causing the noise with old fluid issues. Sometimes just an additive will be enough. I had a local trusted shop replace seals , rebuild kit and fresh fluid w/ additives for less then $200. If it is a gear issue cost can go up. Problem solved over a year now. Good luck
