Default Rim size

I'm looking to buy new rims for my 2006 Dakota. I believe it currently has the original 17" rims and has 265/65/17 tires on them. Will 17x9 rims work? the rims i'm looking at are Mamba 587B M15 Gloss Black Wheels 17x9, offset is 19(mm), backspacing is 5.75, and bore is 108.1(mm)

17" x 9", with an offset of +19 will work fine with the 265/70/17 tires.

Hopefully they will include hub centering rings with the wheels.

I’m very naive when it comes to rims. What are hub centering rings?

Your wheels now sit perfectly on the center hub, which is 77.8mm, keeping the wheel centered as it spins. With a larger center bore on aftermarket wheels, that no longer happens, and you are relying on the lugs to keep the wheel centered. That doesn't always work out perfectly, and you'll notice vibrations as you are driving (most likely). A hub centering ring will fit over the hub on the truck, and fit into the aftermarket wheel keeping it centered. The bore on the chosen wheel above is 108.1mm, so you would need a 77.8mm to 108.1mm hub centering ring to keep the new wheel centered. The rings will be either metal or plastic.
