Default 275/65/r18 fit ??

Hi Guys,

I know there have been several forums on this matter and a pretty helpful Sticky, but I still have a question? I have a 2006 dodge dakota v6 2wd with 2in lifted struts on the front and 0in in the back.

Will 275/65/18 fit? I know I can clear the front with triming but what about the rear with 0" lift? The tires are 32".

Also the new rim's I'm getting are 18s 9w with a +12 offset. How will this offset look on my truck? Will wheels sit in, flush, or stick out?

Thanks for the help?

When you say 2" lifted struts, I assume that you mean 2" leveling kit.

The tire will move out about 3/4 of an inch, roughly. You will have to do some trimming of the front splash guards and probably a bit of the wheel well liners, which could catch the tires when turning. How much is anyone's guess, but it's possible the trimming may include your front bumper fascia too. The rears I think will be fine, I think, although there is always the chance of a clearance issue. I would suggest going with 265/65/18 tires, and don't get obsessed with stuffing the wheel well with tire, like so many others do. Sometimes clearance is a good thing.

Whatever you go with, follow up with pictures of your truck, and let us know what had to be trimmed.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling you where going to say that. I have 265/60/18 on now was just wanting something a little more. I guess I will be going with some 265/65/18 T/A K02's. Thanks for the advice.

Dakotaff I forgot to answer your question. No not spacers. Lifted spring perch nitrogen struts made by doetsch tech.

I went ahead and ordered 265/65/18
