i just did my custom exhaust on my 05 dakota.... i did true duals, i used 2" pipe from the cats to the trans crossmember, then into an x pipe and 2.50" pipe from there into 2 50 series flowmasters and 2.50 pipes out the back.....i kept the 2 inch front pipes for some back pressure, and because the manifold outlets are only 2"..................................without reseting the computer...i lost no bottom end but the midrange and top end power is night and day! it doesnt feel like the exhaust is holding it back when you get on it like it did before........i will try to get some pics posted......it also is not raspy at all just a nice deep tone ......

 

Sounds good. Keep us upto date how you're gas mileage does. Have you put a CAI on it?

Does it make more noise than the stock?

Here's my delima: I'm looking for an exhaust system that will give me the power, but not the noise. Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can keep it quiet and get the power?

 

it is louder than stock, but quieter than a 40 series flowmaster or a ultraflo with dual tips..
