Default Where to find R/T hood

Greetings all.
New to the forums so apologies if this is not where it should be. I own an 06 Dakota 4.7 SLT. I love the look of the R/T with the massive hood scoop. I want to swap a R/T hood onto my Dakota, but I can't find where to buy one! Does anyone know where I could buy a R/T hood? It doesn't even need to be flame red, which is my paint. I'd be willing to paint it later, I just want something. Thanks for the help!

A body supply place may have them. You might find one in a salvage yard, but most of those trucks run into things. Why not get some scoops and make your hood look like one. You can get some thta go on with double sided tape. Paint to match and instant R/T hood.

Besides a local junkyard, I can't see you finding one anywhere. I wouldn't mind one bolted up to my truck either.

Welcome aboard.

I looked around on Fleabay and there are all sorts of scoops there. Personally, if I ever add a scoop, I'll do like I did on a car once. A rear facing scoop over the passenger side of the engine facing backwards to vent heat and such from under the hood. I even opened the hood a bit to let the air out. It dropped underhood heat a lot and seemed to make the cars run better.

Auto junkers probably your best bet. You might try calling your local Mopar dealer or 'MyMopar.com' they are one of the largest dealers for anything mopar. Now if you still have no luck finding one you can get hood scoops that are close to factory looking like what jkeaton has pictured on his truck. The real R/T scoop is twice as big.

That looks really good! Sorry for the late response, but do you have a link to that hood scoop on amazon? I'd love one that looks like that. Thanks!
