I have an 05 Dakota with a 3.7. truck is still great, but it started lighting up the headlights on warning on the dash for no reason! it did this a few months back 1 or 2 times but now it does it constantly! code reader cant shut it off. turning the lights on then off are no help. any body know why it doing this and how to correct it?

 

Are all the bulbs working in each mode? it might be detecting a burned bulb, or a short.

it might be something totally different. i know some vehicles do that. I don't remember if the Dakota does or not.

 

just checked and all bulbs are working correctly. Im stumped!

 

Fixed! the left rear bulb was in the process of dieing! it finally went! and new bulb fixed the light, both of them!
