Default Are the Mopar online retailers trustworthy?

I redid my cooling system in a 2005 Dakota 4.7L and I used a 4 seasons fan clutch. The clutch doesn't like to kick in until about 230-ish degrees. Then it audibly engages and temps fall like a rock. My choices are either to go electric or get an original Mopar clutch and really I'd like to try the latter before I bite the bullet on electric. That being said, my dealership sells them for 3x the price of some online retailers like Moparpartsgiant.com, so I'd like to see if they're trustworthy in an attempt to save money. Anyone have any experience? Which retailer is best? Send me a link. If there's a decent aftermarket clutch out there, what is it called?

52029290ac. I just found one available through summit racing. But they also informed me about fan spacers? Is there any downside to those?

The online sites are fine, and cheaper than the dealers.
Some sites to check, but others are fine too.
https://www.dodgeparts.com/
https://www.factorychryslerparts.com/
https://www.moparamerica.com/auto-pa...-v8-gas-engine

I see a few part numbers, depending on the year & engine:
  • 52029290AC (or AB)
  • 52029291AD (or AE)
  • 55056585AA

Thank you. I actually called up Summit Racing and they carry the 52029290AC fan clutch and they told me it should be a match for my 4.7L. I went ahead and ordered that. If it doesn't work out I'm just gonna claim warranty and switch to electric. So wish me luck. But I am curious what the AC, AD, AE, etc all means. Any idea what the differences are between all these part letters? I'm especially curious what the difference is between the three different numbers.

Those letters change when a part is updated, it could be a small part inside where the letter will designate the newer part.

The part number is (should be) different for 3.7, 4.7 and 4.7 HO engines. Also, maybe one part number is for Dakotas equipped with the Tow Package, not sure on that though.
