Has anyone removed their seat cushion?

The foam in my driver's seat cushion appears to have collapsed. Looking at a few YouTube videos, I can probably rejuvenate it with some steam. But, I have to get it out first.

Do I need to remove the entire chair? Or, has anyone been able to get the cover (mine is leather) off the seat without removing the chair?

5 years ago I had the seat of my car collapse. I was thinking about trying to do it myself, but called the upholstery shop first. For $75 they replaced all the foam. For that price I felt I was wasting my time trying to do it myself.

Anyway, I do believe that cover has clips on the underside. I've had to reattach them a couple times over the years.

 

Did you have to remove the seats from the cab to re-attach the clips? Or, could you do it leaving it bolted in place?

 

I did it bolted in place. They are plastic clips that go over the wire. You could give it a shot. Look to see if any bolts or mounts are securing the cover.
