Default 2008 Camshaft

I have a 2007 4.7 litre flex fuel with stock intake manifold and going to swap the cams out for some 2008 cams.Do i need to use the 2008 lifters?
For the ones that have done it, how does the power feel?

I did the 206 cams in my 2005. only thing that really woke the motor was having an aftermarket tune. just swapping out cams and lifters wont see much gains.

If your Dakota has flex fuel, it likely has the cams from the 08+ version. They began making the "4th Gen" halfway through 2007. If it has drive by wire, the boxy front end, and makes 302 Horsepower, it has the Next Gen Corsair engine and already has the best factory cams in it for the 4.7.
