Default Feed wire from inside of cabin to truck bed?

I have a 2005 Dakota. I recently purchased a backup camera, but am having trouble with getting the wire from the display unit inside the cab to the license plate camera on the bumper at the end of the truck bed. Is there an existing route to get wire from inside of the truck to the back, or will I have to drill? If drilling is necessary, any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

There is usually a rubber grommet somewhere you can slide the wire through next to another one. If you end up drilling a hole, make it large enough to put a rubber grommet in the hole. After drilling it, get some paint and paint the edges of the hole so it doesn't rust. Body touch up paint usually comes in a tube with a small brush. After the paint dries, seal around the wire with some clear silicone.

Thanks, grouch, for the advice on drilling and preparing a new hole to feed the wire through. I may end up doing so, or I may end up going through the existing grommet in the front by the engine and run it underneath the truck to the reverse taillight. I would prefer it to go through the back of the cab rather than the front, though. Any recommended drilling locations? Does anyone else happen to know of existing grommet locations towards the back of the 2005 dakota cab?
