Default Need Leaf spring info

Ok, the 2006 has a roughly 2" sag on the left rear.

So I need to figure what to do about that.

First, as the fuel tank is on the left, is the left spring a different rate than the right? Just in case I go to the wreckers for one.

Has anyone tried putting a Hellwig kit on and adjusting it to restore level?

My truck has 5 leaves. I see that 7 leaf kits are out there. Any issues switching to 2 seven leaf spring packs?

Any other fixes you can dream up?

As an old hot rodder, I remember the era when we used to jack up the car and put U bolts on the spring pack. Not going that route.

I'll be pulling the rear shocks today just in case they are the issue, but I doubt it.

Are the shackles and bushings in good shape? If so you likely have a broken leaf or weak spring pack. You can have the spring pack repaired or replaced by a local truck spring shop.

I even removed the U bolts looking for a broken leaf, as that's what I thought, but nope, not this time.
No "local truck shop" here, I live in the boonies. Likely to be either Amazon or Ebay to the rescue, unless I take an hour drive to a wrecker.

4 leaf 1800lb is standard ,5 leaf 2200lb is optional. Rockauto has spring packs starting at $121.Very reasonable.

Yep, that's a wonderful price, but when you live in Canada, shipping, duties etc.
I once got a real steal of a deal on Rancho shocks, but crossing the border stuck $40 extra on the tag. Didn't exactly make my day.

Local sources up here put it at about $300CDN for the five leaf with the helper included.
Doubt I can bring one across the border for that. I'm taking the helper, because I'll upgrade from four leaf to five. Might as well have the whole thing new. The truck carries my ATV in the back and a load of hunting gear a few times a year, as well as some lumber etc the rest of the year. Pretty heavily loaded for that.

Canadian here. I might be Albertan, but I still feel the price pinch.

I did both springs and hardware last year ... bolts, U bolts, bolt plates, and shackles. $700 for everything, shipped, including taxes. That was for the Husky 5 plate springs.

Quick question for those that have replaced their leaf springs: RockAuto has two brands of springs - Husky Spring and Dayton. The prices are slightly different and the Husky appears to be painted. Other than that, they seem to be the same thing. Any recommendations for which brand to get, and why?

Not sure about the Daytons. But I got Husky springs... they fixed the dag in the back end, but were completely covered in surface rust after one winter. had I known, I would have sprayed em with a protectant to prevent that.
