Default P0301 & p0137

Hey everyone! New to site. Just bought a '06 Dakota crew cab with the 3.7 and 178,000 miles. Just to pull boat to lake and haul things. However, I do want to take care of it. Keep getting these two codes. I know I should check compression (and will soon), so far I put in new plugs, swapped ignition coils to see if problem would go to cyl 2, it did not. Any words of encouragement or suggestions?

Could be an injector, or all kinds of wiring issues. Get yourself a copy of the service manual (there's a sticky, it's for an 05, but it's all the same info). It also shows you the best way to troubleshoot these trucks.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the tips. Put some Lucas fuel system stuff in, drove about 100 miles today and no check engine light. Maybe catching early, I hope. Time will tell. Now on to fixing exhaust leaks and rebuilding front end.
