Question Keyless Transreceiver failure - Dealer discontinued

New to this forum so apologize if this has been addressed but couldn't find anything in FAQs. Remote key(s) quit working and initially thought it was the key battery. Noticed one of the solder joints in the key battery "clamp" was broken so added a dab of solder and new battery.....still could not unlock the doors remotely. Bought an aftermarket key and took it to a locksmith for cut and programming. L-Smith says key(s) are working, went out to truck, tested, and said "receiver " is not working. Called dealer who looked up part (#68014273AH) and says it is "DISCONTINUED and unavailable", with no alternate options.!! These parts are rare as hens teeth. Has anyone had experience with this problem yet? Does anyone know if part no. 68014273AE will work (with re-programming of course)? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I dealer said it was the key, spent $300 on a new key, now they are telling me it is the receiver. However they also told me that "someone" is suppose to begin manufacturing these parts early 2022...
