3rd Gen dodge Driver Seat removal
2007 Dakota quad cab SLT, 6 cyl. I have searched but can not find any definitive information on how to replace the seat belt buck, seat belt will not latch.. I think I have to remove the driver's seat and can not find any instructions (i.e., what bots to renmove, what to unplug, precautions). I did see something about disconnecting the battery ( but still cost $to reset the sensors). Can I remove the center console and then remove the seat belt and forego and problems with resetting the sensors; or do I hec=ve to remove the seat to remove the seat belt buckle? Thanks for any help.
You can remove the drivers seat without worry, and the center console too (don't see the console removal being necessary though). Only the passenger seat has weight sensors that may have to be recalibrated if you remove that seat.
If you haven't found this yet, go HERE to download the 2005 Dodge Dakota Factory Service Manual (Link in post #20 of that thread), seat removal begins on page 4856. It's simply 4 bolts and a wiring connector or two, depending on options.
Welcome aboard.
