Glad I found this place! There isn't much out there for the 3rd gens. I picked up a nice 05 Laramie quad cab last week for the purpose of a swap. It has a blown 4.7. I have a few options out there for whole cars to buy, one being a wrecked 11 durango and the other being a wrecked 04 2500 Ram. Is there any "best option" when hunting for a 5.7 for the 3rd gens in regard to getting as close as possible to ecm/tcm compatibility? I assume the oil pan on the durango engine will be closer to what I need than the ram engine but I figured I would ask the fellows that have been through this forest if they would share which tree a guy should bark up first!
