Default 2005 dodge Dakota body panel swapping

Hey guys newbie here please excuse if this has been talked about but couldn’t find any info on it. I have a 2005 dodge Dakota Laramie 4.7L 4 dr that I got for free from a guy no longer wanted and body is pretty rusty. I’m just curious if the body parts off of a 2008-11 Dakota 4 dr would swap over and fit I know the lights are different but if I have the donor face lifted Dakota already would it be a basic swap? Body is really good on 2008 but engine/trans are missing hence swapping onto my other Dakota. Trucks are not in same spot one is in bc so I can’t just take off to see will have to trailer it home but don’t want to get it if parts won’t change over. Thanks for any info on this.

I believe the front end - hood, fenders, bumper, grille - is different between the 2005-07 and 2008-11; but, the back end - tailgate, fenders, box - is the same.

Like Philipat said, the 2005-2007 front end is different, as well as some parts of the center dash, but everything else is the same.
When I got my truck, I got a little surplus of parts for it. Just send me a pm and I can send you an itemized list. Will be posting them here once I have enough postings to acquire posting abilities in the classifieds. 😁
