Default Truck intermitent jerking while driving.

Hello.

I have a 2006 Dakota.

About 6 months ago I was having stalling problems. My OBD showed a P0335 error, crankshaft position sensor so I replaced the sensor and the connector.

Around the same time I was getting a Camshaft P0340 error and replace that sensor and connector.

The errors went away and the vehicle drove with no problems.

A month ago I put a new battery in as it was more than 4 years old, here in AZ it was about time.

About 3 weeks ago I was having problems again. When the engine warms up after about 20 minutes of driving the vehicle would kind of chug and jerk like it was stalling. A couple of times when I came to a traffic light the engine would stall but would start up right away.

Last week I took it to a mechanic and they said it was corrosion on the plugs and grounding strap. $200 to fix

Two days later I'm still having the same issues.

Now they want $254 to replace the Crankshaft position sensor and connector.

In my honest opinion I think they are trying to take me to the cleaners.

Can you have bad sensors without codes being thrown?

Thoughts please. I appreciate it.

Thanks

did you replace with mopar sensors or with aftermarket? the aftermarket ones can cause all kinds of issues.

Here is what I found.

The wiring from the crank shaft sensor is shorted out.

Next question is where does the wiring exit up top of the engine compartment?

I've tried to push the wiring up from the bottom but it won't go anywhere.

Thanks.
