05' 4.7L p0172 p0175 codes tripped

05' 4.7L p0172 p0175 codes tripped
2005 Dakota 4.7L - 2 codes tripped P0172 & P0175 and I smell a gassy odor while its running
The truck starts up just fine, but starts to run rough once the engine is warmed up
Every month or so the engine code for the EGR valve will trip, I think it was p0404, not exactly sure but I remember checking the code and it was for the EGR valve, but the engine light goes off after a day or two.
Can a bad EGR valve cause both banks to trip at the same time?
- I have just replaced the MAP sensor and air filter
I know these two codes don't give a lot of detail as to where to look so I'm seeking some troubleshooting here
