misalighed TB? the only thing i could see if the IAC channel being blocked but that would be crazily hard to do. I've removed and, cleaned and re-installed my TB when I had my dak a few times thanks to some recurring misfires which turned out to be a coil, then clogged cats thanks to the unburned fuel. And each time I just put it back in place and re-bolted it in. Never had any issues with the IAC or anything else.

in all my years of doing DIY on my vehicles, I've never heard of a misalighted throttle body.

Ya I shouldda asked for more detail, though I was so tired of dealing with the problem, was just thrilled to have it fixed. They didn't even charge much, I think it was around $200 which included diagnostic. My dakota still stalls a little (maybe once a month) and sometimes when sitting at a light will idle real low/rough for like 5-10 seconds then get back to normal. This issue is for the most part tolerable, but still.
