Transmission Questions
I was wondering if someone on here could provide me with some feedback on the input shaft on a 545RFE transmission.
My big question is how hard should it be to turn either the pump or the input shaft without the torque converter?
I ask this because a guy i know has a 545RFE for sale and i went to check it out, over all it looks nice and clean, said it has low miles on it, he had purchased it then the engine blew a rod and the twisting did something to the frame or something, not 100 percent sure. But any way with a little force i can turn the inner shaft, not sure if that is the input shaft or the one for the pump, but with some force i can move it, the outer one i was unable to move. I dont know enough about transmission to know if this is how it should be or not. So i want to ask the others here on this site and see what i can understand.
