I've done some shopping at autoanything.com and rpmoutlet.com. I know there are a ton of others, but those are the ones I've dealt with so far.

i called a local exhaust shop, they said they can put a delta 50 flowmaster in cat back system with an exhaust tip for 280, just the muffler weld in and tip for 200. doesnt seem too bad...wadda you think? (he said i could run a delta 40 too but he thought it might be too loud for my liking)

For that price, just go with a cat-back system

Changing the muffler won't do much for performance gains....JUST sound

Plus a cat-back system will look 1000 times better than a hacked up factory exhaust with a tip & a muffler welded in

I went with a 40. I don't think it is too load, I think mine could be a little louder if anything. But it has the nice deep tone. It sounds exactly how I wanted it to sound.

well i had the shop down the street do it. went with the delta 50. Theres 2 resonators on that thing!!! they took both of them out and that monster muffler that was in there WOW.

Sounds nice now. Did you remove both resonators?

I meant just buy a cat-back system (like Magnaflow or Gibson) and then just put it on yourself.....it's all mandrel bent & then will include a stainless steel tip (instead of chrome, which will rust right away)

Just checked & Flowmaster does make a cat-back system for our truck, but no one sells/carries it yet:
http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/pr...oducts_id=4047

So that's $353, but that's the MSRP of it.....you could get it for cheaper, but gotta find someone that carries it.

**Summit Racing will carry it and their price is $228.39 for the cat-back system!!!***

So I'd probably just wait and buy it from them! Ship date of 2/4/06

LOL....inpatient, huh??? j/k

Removing anything after the cats (resonators or muffler) won't do anything, but make it louder and flow a little better.

That's why the cat-back systems are legal.....they don't mess with the emissions (catalytic converters) since they're after the cats.

How much did it end up costing you??

280 like i thought, they welded everything together rather well and also welded a solid hanger in the back so the tip didnt wiggle around. sounds nice.
