Default 42rle

Hi all, a little while ago i posted about replacing the transmission in my truck (2011 Dakota, 3.7V6 4WD) to one of the beefier 45RFE or others, ive been looking into just rebuilding the transmission instead (an attempt ill do myself) and wondering about parts compatibility. ATS Diesel carries upgraded parts for the 42RLE to help with the problems with the design of the 42RLE from the start, the problem is they are made for the 2003-2011 Jeeps with the 42RLE (Probably Wrangler they dont specifcally mention it) What would be the differences between the one in my truck , and one of the ones in one of the jeeps, and how much could i get that would still work in the truck.

The bell housing and output spline count on the 42RLE transmission found in different models are different. Other than that, the internals should be the same, or at least based on my research it should be.

or course, some trans are transverse and some are longitudinal which his one major difference.
