Default So I ordered something.... again...

So after last week, I told myself I wasn't going to order anythign for a while, well that while laster like 3 days. I just placed an order at Autoanything.com for a K&N 63 filter for the truck. I sure hope this stuff (tonno cover and intake) make a big difference in gas mileage. I kinow the intake made a HUGE difference in my 03 Neon I had. Now if it makes any noticalbe difference oon the truck, then yay for spending 400 dollars for both these things. :-P

I have read several other responses concerning the K&N 63. I am trying a cheaper method. I purchased the airaid modular intake tube from autoanything for 99.95 free shipping. This tube connects to the existing air filter box and directly to the thottle body intake. I have a K&N replacement filter already in the existing air filter box. This might be more retrictive than the K&N 63, I do not know for sure, but it has to be better than the factory setup. Has anyone else tried this?

It kinda sucks, cuz currently I have no job, so all this stuff I am buying is coming from my saving, and that is taking it away from my college money, and my truck payments. lol... *hides debit cards* gahhhhh!

but in theory, this should save me money shouldn't it? Isn't it gonna be like 10 - 15% for both the intake and the tonno? so in theory, I should be getting about 20 - 30% better gas mileage right?

Yeah I suppose you would sabe money in the long run. It will just be a while till it starts to pay itself off :-)

By the way how old are you? Im in a financial struggle too with my truck payments n stuff too :-P Nothing serious, just hard for a 17 *almost 18* year old to pay the bills, and to get stuff for my truck.

I hate to do this, but check into your Army National Guard recruiting office. You could make some serious money for enlisting and then there is also school money with 100% Tuition Assistance.

Sorry
