Does anybody know how a gibson catback will sound? Im looking for a dual exhaust kit with the gibson superflow muffler. Does anybody know if this is loud? I want my truck to be nice and loud, but I also want a dual exhaust and I dont think flowmaster makes one.

i hear the hardest part is figuring how to unbolt the stock system once you figure that out I'd say your pretty well set.

Where were you able to find a dual flowmaster setup to order for an 05 dakota?

Yeah I gotta agree and say that Gibson doesn't have an impressive sound

The system looks nice and the quality is great, but the SOUND isn't anything to brag about.

Flowmaster mufflers are probably the best bet for sound quality. Only bad part is that they aren't stainless & will eventually rust.

And then like I posted before....they have a kit for our 2005-2006 trucks, but it's only a single side (factory) exit exhaust.

I see some kits on ebay that are dual exit that are selling the flowmaster 40 seriers either reg/super/delta flow mufflers. There all aluminized crushed bent pipes though but you can at least upgrade to stainless tips and mandrel bent pipes.

Link to Auction

I think snobrdrdan is right in that i'd rather invest in a full stainless kit as the aluminized will rust over the life of the truck. i just wish a good stainless kit would come along that sounds as grumbly as the flowmasters [:@]

Yeah if stainless was an option for a dual exhaust system, id buy it. But on ebay it cost me 259 *shipping included* for a flowmaster super 40 muffler, and dual pipes exiting right under my bumper.

Im still excited to get it. Ill get some pics up when I install it.

Well Magnaflow & Gibson & MBRP all do offer Stainless Steel Dual Exhaust setups.....just like what you bought off ebay, except mandrel bent & stainless pipes
