Default Tri-Fecta or Full Tilt???

Hello all. Great forum you have here. This is my first post. I just discovered it a couple weeks ago and it's a great resource. Very informative.

I'm looking for opinions on an Extang for an '05 CC. I'm leaning toward the full-tilt but have heard there are issues including difficulty with installation, cover not fitting very tight, and most importantly the seal isn't very tight. Another choice would be the tri-fecta. I haven't heard one bad thing about this one, but it's around 50 bucks or so more than the full-tilt. The main feature I'm after is easy access to the bed and making sure the thing works in all types of weather. Can either of these be opened with the tailgate up? I have to get something that folds or lifts because the regular snap down types will not work in all climates. Input from anyone with experience with these two models would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the trifecta. Its great i think and seems to be no trouble in rain, i havent been in snow but it hasnt let any rain from what i can tell in the bed so far.
It cannot be opened with the tailgate up however, i think for that you'd have to get a hard-top? i dont think its that hard though.

I had an Extang Full-Tilt on my last truck (2003 Ranger). Installation was a breeze, took me about 20-25 minutes with simple hand tools. Fit was perfect and the seal was weathertight. Even going thru high pressure car washes the interior of my bed stayed dry. I have no idea where the reports of fit issues with Full-Tilts are coming from, those who have them love them (myself included).

I have a Trifecta and I'm in Buffalo, NY. No problems with snow. However, with any soft cover in the snow, you'll want to keep the snow swept off as much as possible.
